Oil first. Then the wash.
Across the Middle East, wash day has long followed a quiet order: oil on dry hair, a little time to rest, then a gentle wash with ground Sidr leaf. The Wash Day Ritual Set brings both steps together.
A few drops, twenty to thirty minutes, and a slower way to wash.
Directions
Before the wash: apply a few drops of Botanical Hair Ritual Oil to dry hair and scalp, massage gently and leave for 20–30 minutes.
The wash: mix two to three tablespoons of Pure Sidr Leaf Powder with warm water into a smooth paste. Apply to damp hair and scalp, leave for 15–30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Hair that was heavily oiled may need a light shampoo afterwards.

1 · Before the wash
- Apply a few drops of oil to dry hair and scalp.
- Massage gently, then smooth through the lengths.
- Rest for 20–30 minutes.
- Fine hair: use less.
2 · The wash
- Mix 2–3 tablespoons of Sidr with warm water.
- Apply to damp hair and scalp; rest 15–30 minutes.
- Rinse until the water runs clear.
- Heavily oiled hair may need a light shampoo.

What is in the Wash Day Ritual Set?

How do I use the two products together?
Apply a few drops of the oil to dry hair and scalp and leave for 20–30 minutes. Then mix two to three tablespoons of Sidr powder with warm water into a smooth paste, apply it to damp hair and scalp, leave for 15–30 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Read our weekly wash-day routine for the full ritual.
Does Sidr replace my shampoo?
It can be your wash step on Sidr days. Sidr gives a soft, low lather and is not meant to foam like shampoo. Many people alternate: Sidr one week, their usual shampoo the next. See How to Use Sidr Powder for Hair.
